DOWNERS GROVE – Local dealership Zeigler Chrysler helped to raise $900 for O’Neill Middle School and raise awareness for bullying prevention with Chrysler brand’s "Drive for the Kids" program.

The Oct. 16 fundraising event was hosted in conjunction with a volleyball sporting event.

Participants earned a $10 contribution to the school on their behalf from the Chrysler brand by taking a brief test drive in a 2013 model Town & Country minivan, as well as other Chrysler vehicles made available for test drives thanks to Zeigler Chrysler.

In partnership with the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, those who participated also received important information about RFK Project SEATBELT (Safe Environments Achieved Through Bullying Prevention Engagement Leadership Teaching Respect).

At the conclusion of the program, the school with the highest number of test drives in each one of the five geographic regions will win an additional $5,000, for a total of $25,000 in additional funding from Chrysler through the Drive for the Kids program.
