State cross country roundup: Glenbard East’s Jack Peters makes state debut

PEORIA – Glenbard East’s Jack Peters placed 159th at the Class 3A boys cross country state race on Saturday at Peoria’s Detweiller Park. Peters, a senior, made his state debut and finished with a time of 16 minutes flat.

Montini

The Broncos were 11th at the Class 2A state race. Brittany Fisher led the way with a 14th place finish. The senior ran a time of 17:48.

Fisher was followed by teammates Maggie Hallerud (38th, 18:33), Gianna Salzbrunn (41st, 18:39), Emma Makowski (138th, 20:07), Bianca Montesinos (173rd, 20:44), Lauren Denemark (177th, 20:51) and Madeline Jamrozek (182nd, 20:59).

Timothy Christian

Sophomore Hannah Bosman was 72nd in the Class 1A girls race. She ran a time of 19:26. Last year she took 46th at state.
