Sandburg band teacher Rico Vazquez to appear on 'Jeopardy!' Monday

ELMHURST – One of District 205's very own competed on "Jeopardy!" Teachers Tournament which airs today.

Rico Vazquez teaches band at Sandburg Middle School. He earned two bachelor's degrees from the University of Illinois in music education and bassoon performance before earning a master's in school leadership from Concordia University Chicago.

Vazquez enjoys playing bassoon, golfing, bicycling and reading in his free time, according to Sandburg's website.

Fans and supporters can watch Vazquez compete in the fourth edition of the teachers tournament beginning today at 2:30 p.m. on WLS-TV.
