Published: Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 2:57 p.m. CDT

WESTMONT – The Village of Westmont is searching for volunteers to join a new Environmental Improvement Commission.

The EIC members would help define the group's mission as well as set commission agendas and goals.

"The environment should be an important issue for everyone,” Trustee Harold Barry III said. “This commission will give people who are passionate about these topics a forum to discuss and make recommendations that will be for the benefit of the entire community.”

Residents who are interested in signing up can do so online at www.westmont.illinois.gov.

For more information on the EIC, contact Larry McIntyre at 630-981-6245.
