Lyons to host 125th anniversary celebration fundraising gala

LYONS – The village of Lyons will hold the final event of their yearlong celebration of the village’s 125th anniversary on Friday with a fundraising gala at Crystal Sky Banquet Hall.

Tickets are $100 to attend and can be purchased at Village Hall. Lyons residents older than age 65 can purchase tickets at a discount for $40.

The event will include dinner, dancing and live music.

Proceeds from the event will go toward enhancing youth and senior programs in Lyons, as well as restoring Hofmann Tower.

The village of Lyons has hosted special program throughout the year in celebration of its 125th anniversary. Anniversary celebrations also were included in regular, annual events, including the Father’s Day Car Show and the village’s Fourth of July parade.
