CAROL STREAM – Carol Stream nonprofit the Humanitarian Service Project (HSP) was recently selected to receive a $1,250 grant from the Dawn Carol Foundation of The DuPage Community Foundation, according to a news release from HSP.

HSP works in DuPage and Kane counties to feed impoverished seniors and children and to provide birthday and Christmas gifts for those in need, the release said. The grant will go towards those efforts.

This is the fourth time since 2009 that HSP has been chosen to receive funding from the foundation, according to the release.

The Dawn Carol Foundation of The DuPage Community Foundation focuses on raising the quality of life in DuPage County and offers grants for nonprofits throughout the area, the release said.
