Hinsdale D-86 names its top human resources administrator

HINSDALE – One month after Bruce Law was officially named superintendent of schools, the Hinsdale Township High School District’s top leader made his first administrative hire.

Domenico Maniscalco has been selected to join the District 86 administrative team as the director of human resources. Maniscalco is expected to begin his contract with the district Dec. 2.

The District 86 Board of Education approved Maniscalco’s appointment at its Nov. 6 meeting.

Maniscalco has been employed at Niles Township District 219 in Skokie as the senior human resources administrator since 2009. In his position he oversees all aspects of the department including benefits, health and wellness, labor negotiations, employee relations, policy, evaluations, compensation and pensions as well as the department’s $10 million budget and the district’s $48 million budget for employee salaries.

Maniscalco is currently pursuing his doctorate in educational leadership from National Louis University. He earned both his master’s degree in organizational leadership and his bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Judson University.
