Carol Stream committee seeks nominations for annual volunteer awards

CAROL STREAM – The Carol Stream Citizen of the Year Committee invites residents and community organizations to submit nominations for the 2013 Citizen of the Year award, Special Citizen of the Year award and Judges Recognition award, according to a committee news release.

The Citizen of the Year award recognizes a resident for his or her volunteer work in the community.

The Special Citizen of the Year award honors someone who has provided five or more years of continuous community volunteer service.

The Judges Recognition award is given to someone living outside the village who has volunteered in the community.

Nominees will be honored during a ceremony and banquet Feb. 8, 2014, at the Holiday Inn of Carol Stream.
