BERWYN – Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a 26-year-old man in the area of Scoville Avenue and 18th Street at 4 p.m. Oct. 31.

The victim said he was walking west on 18th Street between the Scoville/East Avenue alley when he felt someone come up behind him and press what he believed was a handgun against his back and asked, “What you got?”

The victim quickly turned and pushed the subject away. The offender was described as black, in his late teens or early 20s, about 5-feet-8-inches tall, wearing a “Wiz Khalifa”–style bleached striped shirt and black hooded sweatshirt. He was reportedly carrying a black handgun.

The gunmen then fled to a waiting car, which took off in an unknown direction.
