Baha E. Ahmed, 44, 18 N. Parkside Ave., was charged with battery at 8:36 p.m. Oct. 20 in the zero block of Main Street.


John Thomson Frey, 24, 262 Taylor Ave., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 5:45 a.m. Oct. 26 at Lambert Road and Wilson Avenue.

Theft reported

• Halloween decorations were reportedly stolen between 11 p.m. Oct. 22 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 23 in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

• A Magna boy’s bicycle was reportedly stolen between 6 and 8:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at First United Methodist Church, 424 Forest Ave. Estimated value is $100.

Unlawful possession of marijuana

Nikolas D. Demura, 24, 675 Roosevelt Road, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 10:48 p.m. Oct. 21 at Budgetel Inn, 675 Roosevelt Road.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Jerold W. Overbeck, 21, 677 Roosevelt Road, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 11:51 p.m. Oct. 23 at Rodeway Inn, 677 Roosevelt Road.


Marvin R. Harris, 47, 999 S. Lorraine Road, Wheaton, was charged with the disruptive public contact of panhandling at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 25 at Trader Joe’s, 680 Roosevelt Road.

Excessive noise

Nick J. DiGioia, 37, 445 N. Park Blvd., was charged with excessive noise at 2:46 a.m. Oct. 22 in the 400 block of Park Boulevard.

Traffic violation

• Rogelio Soberanis-Cebrero, 39, 8627 S. Marquette Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding at noon Oct. 23 at Illinois Route 53 and the DuPage River.

• Donna Murry, 48, 34 N. Main St., was charged with driving while license suspended and speeding at 7:54 a.m. Oct. 24 at Park Boulevard and Harding Avenue.
