To the Editor:
Before his election in 2008, this president promised the most transparent administration in the modern era. Five years later, consider these facts about someone who was presumed to be one of the most intellectual men ever to hold the office.
Shortly after taking office, Obama – a supposed expert in Constitutional law – judged a white Cambridge, MA police officer guilty in the treatment of a black college professor without knowing any of the facts in the case; something even ordinary citizens recognize violates one of our basic legal tenets: being innocent until proven guilty!
In the years since, Obama has claimed to know nothing of the Justice Department’s Fast & Furious operation, which supplied untraceable arms to Mexican drug lords, resulting in the murder of a U.S. border patrol agent.
Obama then claimed ignorance to the IRS attempts to illegally block the issuance of tax-exempt status to conservative groups. He then stated he knew nothing about the Justice Department’s investigation of reporters’ private emails nor did Obama claim he was aware of the forewarned dangers in Benghazi, Libya, resulting in the deaths of four American government officials.
In today’s news, Obama is reported to have known years ago about the devastating effects that his “Affordable Health Care” would have on millions of Americans in the loss of their private health plans, despite his repeated promise that we could all keep our current coverage. For all those that voted for this community organizer, realize your errors of judgment.
Obama will go down in history as one of the most dishonest, corrupt and inept men to ever hold the office.
My prayer is that this country will survive the next three years of the social experiment Obama pledged in 2008 that he hoped would “fundamentally” change the nature of the U.S. The changes we have seen thus far are destroying all that has made this country the richest and most powerful on Earth.
