Community Nurse seeks help for Secret Santa program

LA GRANGE – Community Nurse Health Center is seeking donations and volunteers for its Secret Santa program that provides gifts to low-income children.

Through the program, children who visit the center’s doctor and dentist for annual exams are qualified to receive gifts, including clothing, books, school supplies and a toy from their wish list.

Currently, the program does not have enough community members signed up to buy gifts, meaning children would go without a present this holiday season. Area residents are encouraged to donate an item, host a drive in their neighborhood, office or club or “adopt” a child and shop for his or her specific wishes.

For a list of drop-off locations, more information or to adopt a child for a gift, email Michelle Grand at mgrand@communitynurse.org or call 708-579-2403.

Monetary donations can be mailed to Community Nurse, 23 Calendar Ave., La Grange, IL 60525.
