CICERO – Lush sets and costumes and live sword fighting are what can be expected when Morton High School students present the ultimate story of love and hate, “Romeo & Juliet,” at Morton East High School’s historic Chodl Auditorium Nov. 22 through 24.

Weekend performances will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 22 and Nov. 23 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 24.

Set in the city of Verona, Italy, two powerful families, the Montagues and the Capulets, fight each other in the streets. Then, against all odds, Romeo, a Montague, and Juliet, a Capulet, fall in love and stop at nothing to be together.

A large cast of nearly 30 students will be acting one of William Shakespeare’s greatest works.

Community members can take advantage of discount pre-sale pricing and order online at www.mehstheatre.brownpapertickets.com.

Ticket prices at the door will be $8 for adults and $5 for students. Admission is free to seniors.
