LOMBARD – Low expectations turned to jubilation Monday for the hundreds of fans who turned out for downtown Lombard's viewing party of the Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers football game.

In a rivalry that would unexpectedly feature two back-up quarterbacks, the Bears won on the road by the final 27-20, snapping a six-game skid to the Packers.

The game was projected on a large screen on South Park Street between St. Charles Road and Michael McGuire Drive.

Several downtown businesses also participated in the event, including Shannon’s Deli, Café 101, The Corner House and Punky’s Irish Pub.
