Village of Downers Grove collecting ornaments for Main Street Train Station holiday tree

DOWNERS GROVE – The Village of Downers Grove is calling all Scout leaders, teachers, youth groups and Downers Grove children to contribute handmade ornaments to decorate the holiday tree at the Main Street Train Station.

Ornaments must be delivered to Village Hall by Nov. 12.

Ornaments need to be at least 8 inches in diameter and be made of weatherproof material. The village requested that ornaments have no sharp edges, pointy ends, or heavy materials.

The string or twine for hanging should be looped and 10 to 12 inches long.Ornaments will not be returned.
