Police reports: West Chicago for Nov. 7

Information in Police Reports is obtained from the West Chicago Police Department. Individuals listed in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court.

Burglary

• A wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle between Oct. 14 and 6 p.m. Oct. 22 in the 600 block of West Forest Avenue.

• A social security card, Illinois ID, Link card, Samsung Note 2 cell phone and $75 in cash were taken from an unlocked vehicle at 2:37 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 800 block of Burr Oaks Drive.

DUI

• Luis Rios, 27, 157 S. Lincoln Ave., Mundelein, was charged with driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, speeding and improper lane usage at 3:14 a.m. Oct. 20 at Neltnor Boulevard and Diversey Parkway.

• Nicole Lederman, 28, 612 Park St., Batavia, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI over the legal limit, illegal transportation of alcoholic liquor, an auto accident involving an injury and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 8:22 p.m. Oct. 20 in the area of West Roosevelt Road and Union Pacific Grade Crossing.

Criminal damage to
vehicle

• Damage was reported to the rear window of a vehicle between Oct. 19 and 7:05 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 400 block of Carriage Drive.

• A rock was reported to have hit the windshield of a vehicle at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at Roosevelt and Pearl roads.

• A rock was reported to have hit the windshield of a vehicle at 7:05 p.m. Oct. 20 at Roosevelt and Pearl roads.

• A rock was reported to have hit and shattered the passenger side window and chipped the paint on the passenger side and rear of a vehicle between Oct. 20 and 7:15 p.m. Oct. 21 at Roosevelt Road and Eje Railroad Bridge.

• Damage was reported to the hood of a vehicle from an unknown object between Oct. 20 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at Roosevelt and Pearl roads.

• Damage was reported to the left front head light of a vehicle between Oct. 22 and 5 a.m. Oct. 23 in the 600 block of West Forest Avenue.

• Damage was reported to the roof of a vehicle from an unknown object at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 24 at Roosevelt and Pearl roads.

• Damage was reported to the hood and passenger side door of a vehicle from an unknown object at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 in the area of Roosevelt Road and Pearl Road.

• Sugar was reported to have been poured into the gas tank of a vehicle between Oct. 24 and 11 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 300 block of Wegner Drive.

Sex offender registration

A sex offender registered at 11:02 a.m. Oct. 22 at the West Chicago Police Department, 325 Spencer St.

Traffic violations

Jeffrey Peterson, 29, 327 Republic Road, Batavia, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license and an equipment violation at 6:32 p.m. Oct. 23 at Roosevelt Road and Joliet Street. Peterson also had an in-state warrant for his arrest at the time the incident occurred.

Found items

• A West Chicago State Bank Visa debit card was found at a gas station between Sept. 20 and 5:18 p.m. Oct. 20 in the 200 block of South Neltnor Boulevard and subsequently turned in to police.

• An Illinois state ID was found at 5:03 p.m. Oct. 22 in the parking lot of an Aldi grocery store in the 1200 block of Kings Circle.

• A white bag was found at 4:04 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 500 block of Main Street.

Lost items

A missing front license plate was reported at 5:28 p.m. Oct. 21 in the 1100 block of Barber Street.
