Wheaton Warrenville South cruises into second round

CHICAGO – Dunbar might have come in with the higher seed but it was Wheaton Warrenville South that walked away with an easy first round win Friday.

Jumping out to a 42-0 advantage in the second quarter, the Tigers went on to a 48-16 win at Gately Stadium.

With the victory, Wheaton Warrenville South advances to the second round of the Class 7A playoffs where the Tigers will host Downers Grove North. The Trojans beat previously undefeated Whitney Young 28-0 on Friday.

The Tigers improved to 8-2 on the fall.
