Published: Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 12:46 p.m. CDT

OAK BROOK – Franciscan Outreach is celebrating its 50th anniversary as one of the largest providers of homeless services in Chicago at the 50th "Year of Reaching Out Anniversary Dinner" at 6 p.m. Nov. 7.

The event, which will be held at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Oak Brook, will highlight Franciscan Outreach’s work with the homeless, underserved and marginalized. Since its founding in 1963 as a halfway house for homeless ex-offenders, Franciscan Outreach has grown into a multi-site organization providing shelter, food and case management support to thousands of Chicagoans.

The event will feature a testimonial from a current guest client, the honoring of outstanding volunteers and a silent auction.

To purchase tickets or learn more about Franciscan Outreach’s 50 Years of Reaching Out Dinner, visit franoutreach.org, or call 773-278-6724.

Tickets are $125 before Nov. 3 and $150 after.
