LOMBARD – A viewing party for this week's Monday night football game between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers will take place in downtown Lombard.

The matchup can be viewed on a large screen on South Park Street between St. Charles Road and Michael McGuire Drive.

The stretch of road will be closed to vehicle traffic starting at 4 p.m. Monday in order to prepare for the viewing. Residents are urged to come, bring their own chairs and stake out a location.

The game starts at about 7:30 p.m.

Many downtown businesses will also be participating in this special event. Shannon’s Deli, Café 101 and The Corner House will be open to make food available to attendees. Punky’s Irish Pub and Shannon’s Deli will be open during the game.  The event will end 30 minutes after the end of the game.
