Lombard D-44 to give thanks on School Board Member's Day

LOMBARD – Nov. 15, 2013, has been designated as School Board Member’s Day in Illinois.

As a result, Lombard Elementary School District 44 is joining other districts across the state to thank community volunteers for their commitment and contributions to public schools.

As community trustees for the schools, school board members have oversight in District 44 for 3,200 students in grades kindergarten to eighth grade, more than 445 employees, seven buildings and an annual budget of about $51 million.
