D-181 invites residents to complete survey, attend discussion

Published: Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 8:52 a.m. CDT

HINSDALE – Community Consolidated School District 181 is inviting parents, residents and staff to complete an online survey, open now through Nov. 26. The surveys for each group of constituents is accessible on the district website at d181.org.

Survey questions address several areas, including communication, transparency and the district’s social emotional learning education.

An additional survey area is the District Vision for 2020. At a Board of Education Visioning Workshop held Oct. 7, community representatives considered what the district should look like in the year 2020 with a focus on three components – students and learning, facilities and finance, and community involvement. Using that input to develop the survey items, respondents are asked to help prioritize the ideas that were generated.

The board invites all interested community members to an in-person discussion of the District Vision for 2020 during one of two fall community engagement meetings, taking place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Hinsdale Middle School and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at Clarendon Hills Middle School.

No pre-registration is required.
