Published: Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 1:09 p.m. CDT

VILLA PARK – The Board of Trustees is inviting feedback from residents as the Village considers renewing a cable television franchise agreement with Comcast.

A public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Village Board Room of the Villa Park Municipal Building, 20 S. Ardmore Ave.

Topics for consideration will include the cable operator’s service quality, including the signal, response to consumer complaints and billing practices; it does not relate to the mix, quality or level of cable services or other services provided through the system. Discussions will also focus on the cable provider's ability to meet community needs and interests while taking into account cost.

At the hearing, interested residents can comment on the proposed franchise agreement. A copy of the proposed agreement is available for public review in the office of the village manager.
