WESTMONT – Westmont trustees will consider an ordinance to extend the current waste collection contract during the Village Board meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The extension would renew the Waste Management contract for another five years, which was discussed during an Administration and Finance Committee meeting Oct. 14.

The Board of Trustees will also consider an item that would re-establish the Environmental Improvement Commission as a volunteer commission. The commission's role would be to provide recommendations and advice to the board regarding environmental matters with local impact.

The Village Board meets every other Thursday at 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 31 W. Quincy St.

Agendas and minutes from recent meetings can be found at www.westmont.illinois.gov.
