Hinsdale Central ties for top honors at girls state tennis tourney

Isabella Lorenzini placed second in singles play and Danielle Burich and Erika Oku were fifth in doubles play as Hinsdale Central's girls tennis team tallied 39 points and tied with Lake Forest for top honors at the IHSA girls tennis state tournament.

Rugile Valiunaite and Katie Lee earned a top-10 finish in doubles play for the Red Devils.

After falling in a semifinal singles match, Lyons Townships Alex Chatt responded with a 6-0, 6-1 win over New Trier's Carol Finke in the third place match.

Nazareth's Lexi Petrovic was top-10 in the singles bracket.

LT scored 22 points as a team and finished sixth. 

Glenbard West earned 14 team points and finished tied for 13th place.

Nazareth and York were both part of a four-way tie for 22nd place with nine points.
