Construction at Cass Ave. rail crossing in Westmont not yet open

WESTMONT – The construction at The Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad crossing at Cass Avenue in Westmont was expected to be completed by Friday.

Village of Westmont's Communication Director, Larry McIntyre said they're still waiting to hear when the railroad will reopen as of Friday afternoon.

Construction began Oct. 17, giving motorists a detour, set up at Fairview Avenue in Downers Grove, although pedestrians can still cross the tracks in downtown Westmont adjacent to the Westmont Train Station.
