WESTMONT – The Westmont Police Department is suggesting residents plan to trick-or-treat between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Halloween night.

Police said residents should remember to be safe and follow typical Halloween safety tips such as wearing reflective clothing, be careful of masks and costumes that can impair your vision or ability to move, be careful when crossing the street, travel with groups and have a parent check your candy.

“We want to make sure that everyone has a safe and happy Halloween,” Police Chief Tom Mulhearn said. “We also urge motorists to drive safe and be mindful of all the pedestrians on Halloween.”
