BOLINGBROOK – Two suspects have been charged in relation to a shooting and car chase Oct. 5 through Bolingbrook and Joliet, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office.
Dominique D. Travis, 20, of 1310 Gilray Drive, Joliet, was charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, unlawful use of a firearm by a felon and obstruction of justice.
Martez J. Doss, 21, 9 Girard Blvd, Joliet, was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding,

Around 12:20 a.m. Oct, 5, two Bolingbrook residents were allegedly shot by Travis in the 100 block of Malibu Drive after a fight erupted during a party at a residence, according to the Bolingbrook Police Department.
Local police heard multiple shots fired, then allegedly observed several subjects – Martez and Doss included – running in different directions and a gray SUV fleeing the scene, police said.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the SUV, but Travis sped off on Lake Shore Drive and back onto Briarcliff Road, intentionally ramming a squad car in the process, Lt. Mike Rompa said.
Officers pursued the SUV through Bolingbrook and onto Interstate 55; the car chase ended near Joliet, and the suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot, Rompa said.
Bolingbrook police, with the help of several other agencies, apprehended Doss, Travis and another suspect, who were taken into custody and transported to the Bolingbrook Police Department, according to Rompa.
A 20-year-old Bolingbrook man sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. A second victim, a 21-year-old Bolingbrook man, sustained a gun shot wound to the leg and was treated at Adventist Bolingbrook before being transferred to Loyola.
Neither injury was life threatening, police said.
