COUNTRYSIDE – The Countryside City Council revised an ordinance to clarify the minimum age for serving alcohol in restaurants, which is 18.

The previous ordinance wasn’t clear, and the city had been receiving questions from restaurants about it, Assistant City Administrator Sharon Peterson said.

The council revised the ordinance at its meeting Oct. 23, and the city is sending letters to restaurant owners to clarify the minimum serving age.
