Bolingbrook alumnus Trent Jackson to be featured on Big Ten Network

MADISON, Wis. – Former Bolingbrook High School and University of Wisconsin basketball standout Trent Jackson will be featured in the Oct. 25 episode of the Big Ten Network’s Forever B1G television show.

Filmed in Madison over several days, the episode covers Jackson’s life since college basketball, his U.S., Asian and European basketball careers, and the growth his new company, ROUGH Sportswear.

A 1985 Bolingbrook graduate, Jackson led the Raiders to the Sweet 16 in the state his senior year. He had his No. 32 Bolingbrook jersey retired by the school in a ceremony on Feb. 15, 2013.

Jackson played basketball for Wisconsin from 1985-89 where he was a four-year starter and team captain in 1989. In his final season, Jackson led the program to its first postseason tournament in 47 years when the team played in the NIT Tournament. Jackson ended his UW basketball career as the program's third all-time leading scorer, first in steals, and first in 3-point field goal percentage. His statistics remain in the Badger history books, including ranking sixth in scoring, eighth in steals, and second in 3-point field goal percentage.

Jackson's Forever B1G episode is scheduled to air at 6:30 p.m. CT Oct. 25. This year marks the first season of the show that reconnects fans with former Big Ten student-athletes to uncover where life has taken them after their athletic careers have ended.

ROUGH Sportswear in Madison is a sports apparel company launched in January 2012. For every purchase, ROUGH Sportswear donates 10 percent to non-profit organizations through the ROUGH Foundation, which as given $13,000 to Madison area non-profits to date.
