Wheaton Warrenville South's Anderson notches strong state showing
DECATUR – Even though she was competing in the IHSA Class AA state meet for the third time, Wheaton Warrenville South junior Kelly Anderson said this year’s event had a different feel to it.
“I made it down the first two years with my team,” Anderson said, “and that was a very fun experience. I love those girls. This year I was down as an individual and it was very different. But my mom was down there with me and I spent time with some different people.”
One year after placing 40th individually, the junior improved to 33rd place this time around. She carded a 75 on Friday and an 86 a day later for a two-day total of 161.
