CLARENDON HILLS – Tiny ghosts and goblins will be racing through the Kruml Park Woods on Friday when the Clarendon Hills Park District presents its first-ever "Flashlight Halloween Hunt" for boys and girls ages 4 to 9.

Children will hunt for seasonal treats in the dark and will also have the chance to win special prizes.

Youngsters ages 4 to 6 can enjoy this activity between 6 and 6:30 p.m., while boys and girls ages 7 to 9 will join in between 6:30 and 7 p.m. All participants are asked to bring along a flashlight and a bag for collecting Halloween goodies.

There is an $8 resident fee ($10 nonresident) to participate in this program. Advance registration at the Community Center, 315 East Chicago Ave., is requested. This is a family friendly event, which is not scary.

Kruml Park is located in the 5600 block of South Western Avenue in Clarendon Hills.
