Hinsdale Central's boys golf team won the state championship over the weekend in Bloomington.

After 36 holes at The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course on Friday and Saturday, the Red Devils shot a combined 603, besting second place New Trier by 13 strokes.

As he did much of the year, Central's Kenneth Li led the way, shooting an even-par 72 on Friday and a two-under 70 on Saturday. His Saturday round featured five birdies and three bogeys. Li finished with the second-best individual score with a two-round total of 142.

Freshman Brendan O'Reilly (71-78-149), junior Brian Dolehide (76-80-156), sophomore Drew Shepherd (76-83-159), senior Grant Filer (80-84-164) and senior Jeff Yoo (83-83-166) rounded out the Red Devils championship roster. The top four scores from each day counted toward the team total.
