ELMHURST – The District 205 Board of Education will host a Community Conversation with the Board sponsored by the PTA, but with a different format than in past years.

The evening will begin with a State of the Schools presentation by the board including funding sources and challenges, growth in student population and the changing needs of District 205 students as well as student accomplishments.

Following the presentation will be a question-and-answer session where community members can share their thoughts and ideas.

Other topics that may be covered if time permits include whether or not District 205 should accept advertising as a form of revenue and the future impact that the sale of Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare's Berteau Avenue campus will have on District 205.

The superintendent's administrative cabinet will not be in attendance. Refreshments will be provided.

The event will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at the District 205 Center, 162 S. York St.
