Village of Carol Stream asks residents to keep leaves out of curb

Published: Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 6:00 a.m. CDT

CAROL STREAM – Raking leaves into the curb or street is prohibited within the village of Carol Stream, according to a village news release.

Village Code does not allow obstructions to the storm drainage system, the release said. Storm sewer inlets clogged by leaves will likely cause localized street and property flooding in a significant rain event, according to the release.

Violators will be subject to ticketing and fines for each separate offense, the release said.
