Man pleads not guilty to murdering Wheaton woman in Glen Ellyn park
WHEATON – The homeless man accused of stabbing a Wheaton woman 34 times and burying her body in a shallow grave in a Glen Ellyn park pleaded not guilty Wednesday, Oct. 16, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.
Myron Ester, 45, has been charged with five counts of first degree murder and one count of concealment of homicidal death in the case of Linda Valez, 33.
Ester and Valez, who was also homeless, were in an on-again, off-again relationship at the time, according to the State's Attorney's Office.
