Willowbrook resident to compete for Miss Teen Chicago

WILLOWBROOK – Erika Barren-Tucker of Willowbrook, and former Hinsdale South High School dean’s list student, was recently selected to participate in the 2014 Miss Teen Chicago pageant competition that will take place on Oct. 27.

Barren-Tucker submitted an application and learned of her acceptance into this year's competition when the pageant announced its selections following interviews in the Chicago area.

Barren-Tucker will be competing for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts that will be distributed to contestants. She will be competing in the Miss Teen division, one of four divisions that will have young women competing in modeling routines, which include casual wear and formal wear. 

Barren-Tucker will also display her personality and communication skills while interviewing with this year's Chicago judging panel.

The Miss Teen Chicago winner will represent Chicago area at the national competition in Orlando. More than $30,000 in prizes and awards will be presented at nationals.
