LA GRANGE – Bottle & Bottega in downtown La Grange recently received two awards from the company's national office.

At Bottle & Bottega's annual convention this summer, owners Meg and Paul LeFaivre received The Picasso award, for highest sales growth, and The Warhol, for highest achievement in marketing and community involvement.

Their location, at 1 W. Harris Ave., opened in June 2012.

"It was kind of a surprise, but not a [complete] surprise, because we thought we were doing well," Meg LeFaivre said.

The business has taken an active role in the community, participating in events like the West End Art Festival and hosting a monthly speed networking night for area employees. The events have given the LeFaivres a chance to explain the idea behind Bottle & Bottega, which offers art classes paired with wine.

"It is a fairly new concept in our area, and probably the hardest part is getting people connected with what it is we do," Meg LeFaivre said. "A lot of people need to see it to understand it."

Upcoming classes include painting Halloween lanterns from mason jars and glass painting for the holidays.

Bottle & Bottega has 10 locations, five in the Chicago area.
