New Brookfield cops sworn in

Published: Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 10:30 a.m. CST

BROOKFIELD – The two newest members of the Brookfield police force were sworn in during a meeting of the Village Board of Trustees Oct. 14.

The two men, Chris Bandola and Anthony Zeman, were approved by the Board unanimously.

Brookfield Police Chief Steven Stelter stood with each newly-minted officer after they read their officer’s oaths and introduced them to the trustees.

Stelter said Bandola was a four year veteran of the Navy and a, “really sharp kid.”

Stelter said Zeman was a lifelong resident who graduated from Riverside-Brookfield High School and who is a computer genius, which should help the department.

Both men are officially probationary police officers until October of next year, when they lose the probationary title.
