BOLINGBROOK – Will County figuratively took back the night Thursday, as the annual Take Back the Night of Northern Will County stepped off in Bolingbrook.

Under the new name Citizens Against Abuse, the Will County group extended its mission to educate the community about domestic violence with the event, which included a rally and march.

The 15th annual event began with a rally at the DuPage Township Levy Center in Bolingbrook before a march to the Veterans Memorial in front of Bolingbrook Village Hall.

Will County State Attorney James Glasgow was scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the event, addressing the topic of new legislation in Illinois and its effect on women in domestic violence situations.
