Woodridge Junior Woman's Club to send letters to troops

WOODRIDGE – The Woodridge Junior Woman's Club is inviting the community to join in thanking veterans for their service by writing letters at the library.

The Woodridge Public Library, 3 Plaza Drive, will have the group's display that offers pens, markers, paper and a collection carton for the cards and letters written. The WJWC will have the booth available from Oct. 21 through Nov. 5. The letters will be sent to Sgt. Lucas Young, the major of Fort Apache in Afghanistan for him to deliver to his troops.
