Forest Preserve District to host 'Make a Difference Day'

GLENDALE HEIGHTS – Volunteers are invited to the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County's “Make a Difference Day” from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 26 at the East Branch Forest Preserve in Glendale Heights, according to a district news release.

Those who attend will remove litter from shorelines and trails. Volunteers are encouraged to wear waterproof boots and gloves and will meet at the East Branch parking lot on Glen Ellyn Road, the release said.

Participants must register three business days in advance. Groups of five or more must register 10 business days in advance, according to the release.

Parents or guardians must sign a waiver for participants under 19, the release said. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
