DARIEN – The Darien Police Department has created an e-mail tip line for information about the recent residential burglaries in and around Darien.

The email is catchaburglar@darienil.gov.

The police department is seeking resident information, including observations of a suspicious person or vehicle in the neighborhood or someone knocking on homeowners' doors with suspicious conversations, such as asking about addresses or names of people who do not live at the house, according to a news release from the Darien Police Department.

The tip line is not monitored 24 hours. Tips will be automatically sent to the detective unit.

In addition to the new e-mail tip line, the Darien Police Department has a phone tip line where messages can be left on voicemail. The number is 630-353-8150.
