Nazareth hands Benet first loss

Roadrunners beat Redwings 28-18

LA GRANGE PARK – For the second week in a row Nazareth has beaten an undefeated team in the East Suburban Catholic Conference.

A week after beating a 5-0 Notre Dame team, the Roadrunners beat Benet 28-18 on Saturday afternoon.

Nazareth improves to 5-2 and 3-2 in the ESCC and will play at 1-6 Riverside Brookfield next Friday in search of clinching a playoff birth.

Benet falls to 6-1 and 3-1 in the ESCC. The Redwings will play at Marist next week.
