BOLINGBROOK – A trio of Bolingbrook High School boys golfers made it through the regional tournament and will compete at the Pekin sectional on Monday.

As a team, the Raiders scored a 352 and finished fifth in the regional behind Neuqua Valley(321), Plainfiled North (325), Yorkville (333) and Oswego (334).

The top three teams earned sectional berths but Bolingbrook will be well-represented at the sectional by three individuals who made the sectional cut and will will compete at Lick Creek Golf Course in Pekin.

Seniors Adam D'Virgilio and Paul Kramolisch and sophomore Jacob Nagel all advanced to the sectional after strong performances at the Blackberry Oaks regional this week.

D'Virgilio scored an 82, Kramolisch carded an 84 and Nagel fired an 87 to move on.

"I was nervous,” D'Virgilio said. “I have been so close to the state tournament for three years now and I just want this so bad. I settled down and played some really good golf on the back nine."

Having three sectional qualifiers cements this version of the team as one of the best Bolingbrook has had.

"This is the best team [we have] had in years,” head coach Chuck Marik said. “We have four guys who can go low on any given day."
