Staats: Chicago History Author Series unfolds at Lisle Museum

The fourth annual Chicago History Author Series explores the City of Chicago from nine different perspectives during this unique annual park district program.

Enjoy an introductory crash course on the history of Chicago and dive deeper into the annals of cultural history at each week’s program. Join us to learn about the early days of organized crime, Hollywood movie ties, the history of urban and park planning, and ending with a discussion of public art in Chicago. New this year is a screening of a WTTW documentary and Q&A. 

The author-led discussions will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday through Nov. 16 in the Baggage Room of the Lisle Depot, located on the grounds of Lisle Station Park, 921 School St.

Seating is on a first-come basis and registration is not required. The Chicago Author Series is a free event with book signings, time to meet the authors, appropriate for all ages, and donations are appreciated.
