Lemont bank collecting items for soldier care packages

LEMONT – Marquette Bank, which has a location at 15730 W. 127th St. in Lemont, asks customers and neighbors to donate items for the bank's Adopt-a-Soldier program, according to a bank news release.

Through Saturday, Nov. 2, customers can donate nonperishable food; anti-itch and antibiotic creams; disposable razors; nasal spray; eye drops; Tums or Rolaids; AA or AAA batteries; Christmas cards and letters; crossword puzzle books; iTunes gift cards; mechanical pencils; new DVDs or CDs; playing cards and socks.

The items will be used in care packages shipped to soldiers stationed overseas. People can also nominate Chicago area soldiers to receive the care packages.
