Elmhurst College to hold electronics recycling event

Published: Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 1:07 p.m. CDT

ELMHURST – Elmhurst College will host a recycling event specifically for electronics.

The spring citywide cleanup allowed residents to clean out clutter in their homes, but not when it came to electronics, which can't simply be thrown out. This event will accept almost all electronics from old computers and VCRs to curling irons and toasters.

Electronics can be broken down into glass, plastics and metals to be reused in manufacturing.

Those looking to drop off electronics can bring them between 9 a.m. and noon Oct. 19 to Elmhurst College parking lot at Myrtle Street and Park Avenue.
