Berwyn pulls out the stops for Halloween fun for kids, teens

Berwyn offers fun Halloween events for kids, teens Oct. 26 and 31.

BERWYN – There’s plenty of spooky fun for kids of all ages during the Halloween season in Berwyn.

Berwyn children in grades four and under are invited to attend Mayor Robert Lovero’s Halloween Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Berwyn Recreation Department, 6501 W. 31st. St.

There will be a costume contest with prizes awarded for most creative, prettiest and most handsome, scariest and funniest costumes.

Attendees can also get inside a “Hamster Ball” and roll across water at the event, and there will also be a bounce house, games, a balloon artist and pony rides.

Free taffy apples will be given to all children. Pumpkins will be given to the first 200 children who arrive.

Doors open for the party at 10:45 a.m., and the contest begins promptly at 12:15 p.m.

A $1.00 donation per child is being requested. Proceeds will be given to the Berwyn Food Pantry. Proof of Berwyn residency will be requested at the door.

Halloween Night Monster Bash for teens

On Halloween night Oct. 31, the Berwyn Recreation Department is hosting a Monster Bash Teen Dance for Berwyn residents only from 4 to 6 p.m. for grades five through eight at the Recreation Center, 6501 W. 31st St. Admission is free.

Prizes will be awarded for most creative, funniest and scariest costumes.

Pizza, pop candy an taffy apples will be serves.

A costume or Halloween theme attire is required to attend.
