Trout season opens Oct. 19 in DuPage County Forest Preserves

Three lakes in DuPage County will be stocked for the beginning of rainbow trout season on Oct. 19, according to a news release from the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.

Starting at 6 a.m., Pickeral Lake at Pratt's Wayne Woods in Wayne, Grove Lake at Wood Dale Grove in Wood Dale and Silver Lake at Blackwell in Warrenville will be stocked with between 500 and 3,100 rainbow trout per lake by the Forest Preserve District and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

All anglers 16 and older who are not legally disabled are required to carry valid state fishing licenses with inland trout stamps to fish these lakes, according to the news release.
