Police working to identify suspects in theft of 90 car batteries at Walmart

VILLA PARK – Members of the Villa Park Police Department are seeking assistance from the community in identifying a vehicle that was involved in a retail theft of more than 90 car batteries from Walmart, 900 S. Route 83.

Surveillance camera footage shows a vehicle that appears to be a maroon, 1994 or 1995 Toyota Avalon with a sunroof. The vehicle was occupied by three male suspects.

The surveillance photos released by police indicate the theft happened around 2 p.m. Sept, 23, although the photos were not distributed by police until Monday evening.
